Thanks to all who have posted election happenings of
late. Hopefully we will have more to share over the coming
weeks.
A notice that the
close of rolls is 8pm, Tuesday 7 September 2004. There is one week to make
sure as many younger people (of the correct age, of course) are enrolled to vote
- there are all sort of details at http://www.aec.gov.au/ (including
checking your enrolment details online).
Go and find people
here and there and hassle them to make sure they are enrolled, eg. uni's, train
stations, shopping centres, ice creameries, net cafes, nightclubs, so
on.
Remember, it's your
country, the politicians want your vote and voting seems to be one of the
only ways that politicans recognise what you think, so off you
go...

AEC, you are not qualified to enrol to vote if "of unsound mind (incapable of
understanding the nature and significance of
voting)" |
