SPARK - a mentorship project for young theatre and community dance artists
SPARK is a nine-month mentoring program that supports young and emerging
theatre and community dance artists to develop a mentoring partnership with
a professional artist of their choice. Managed by Youth Arts Qld, this
special initiative provides an opportunity for young artists to receive
training, direct funding to create and develop their practice, networking
opportunities, and a chance to showcase their work to the national arts
industry.
In 2005, 14 mentorship places are availableŠ 10 places will be offered to
young theatre artists and 4 places will be offered to young community dance
artists and arts workers from anywhere in Australia.
SPARK is managed by Youth Arts Qld and is supported by the Australian
Government¹s Young and Emerging Artists Initiative, via the Australia
Council¹s Theatre board and Dance board.
