hi everyone:
The City of Charters Towers, North Queensland is
attempting to win the
Triple j one night stand - which involves four
major Australian bands - Shihad,
The Hilltop Hoods, End of Fashion and Katalyst -
who would perfom in our
city on May 18
For those who don't know Charters Towers its the
education centre of North Queensland.
A significant number of young people from
throughout North and Far North Queensland, the north of Western
Australia
Northern Territory and the islands off of the Cape
attend the three boarding schools located in the city.A significant
number
of students also attend the local State High
School.
Due to being located in the bush, inland from the
major centres of Cairns,
Townsville and other cities along the coastal route
our young people are not able to access their music
in that touring bands tend to stick to highway
1.
If you are from Charters Towers, came here to
school, worked at the mines, just passed through.. or if you just want to
support
us please email us with your letter of support.... by April
11th.
