Hello and welcome to the email list of YouthGAS
- a leading networking and communication resource focused on young
people and communities.
Before we go any further a big thankyou to Luke Bo'sher, Sacha
Colbourne and Christine Dang for their assistance with this chunk of the
service.
Currently an email list, YouthGAS reaches over 2700 subscribers mostly
across Australia and highlights a wide variety of youth-focused resources,
news, events, media, announcements, publicity and communication and networking
opportunities.
With a clear focus on Australia's young people, YouthGAS will provide you
with an exclusive and broader understanding of the issues, initiatives and
concerns of young Australians. The email list is
aimed to be a general awareness and learning avenue, rather than a
comprehensive database or event listing or so on.
You may post under the following guidelines.
Very important, please read.
GOOD TO POST
- Must be something youth / community related in
some way
- Job opportunities (your email must start
with "JOB:", otherwise it will be rejected and you will be asked to
resend)
- Training opporunities (your email must start
with "TRAINING:", otherwise it will be rejected and you will be asked to
resend)
- Youth events / opportunities - Must
be national, state, territory, global event / opportunity AND / OR
run by a national, state, territory, global organisation. Do not post locally
/ regionally focused events / opportunities; this list is a broad learning and
ideas service rather than a comprehensive database of events
- Questions about youth things
- Articles, media, reports, news, so
on, etc.
BAD TO POST (DO NOT DO)
- locally / regionally focused youth events /
opportunities (eg. local youth centre open day, Council X running
consultation, local youth theatre group having show, etc.)
- any large / unnecessary attachments (try to keep
attachments to a minimum, put details in the email / website for more
info)
- non-youth related forwards / spam
- viruses
If you are finding you are getting too many emails, change to the digest
format, by sending a blank email to
youthgas-digest-subscribe@elistas.com
and then replying to the automated response that you will receive.
