Hi Youthgassers
The Rotary Youth Leadership Award (RYLA) is a
residential youth development program for individuals aged 18 to
25 conducted in Rotary Districts across Australia, and throughout
the world. Each program is slightly different in the way they are
run - some entirely by young people, others with the support of Rotarians - but
they all have similar aims which are to:
- Provide an opportunity for young people from a
diverse range of backgrounds to come together to gain a better understanding
of their own strengths, and the unique qualities and abilities of
others;
- Provide an opportunity for young people to develop
a network of resources to facilitate their development;
- Provide a training program incorporating teamwork,
communication, and motivation; and
- Create a greater awareness of issues
affecting young people;
There are a number of RYLA programs coming up
across Australia over the next few months and details of the program nearest you
can be found by visiting the New Generations Page of the Rotary District near
you. See: http://www.rotary.org.au
Cheers
