Invitation for young people to attend a forum on young driver safety
Invitation for
young people to attend a forum on Young Driver Safety
Did you know that the Victorian Government has
released a Discussion Paper on young driver safety? Proposals include
increasing the minimum L-plate period to 12 months, increasing the P-plate
period for young people to 4 years, and other changes. The changes are
being proposed due to the high number of young people involved in road
accidents.
What do you
think? Want to have your say?
YACVic (The Youth Affairs Council of Victoria) with the support
of the Office for Youth and VicRoads is hosting a forum for young people to
have their say on the proposed changes to the licensing of young drivers.
This will be a chance for you to comment on the proposed changes, and to tell
us what you think these may mean for young drivers. YACVic will then make
a submission to the Minister for Transport based on what you tell us.
When:
Thursday 22nd September, 2:00pm
to 3:30pm
Where:
Conference Room, at the City Library, 257
Flinders Lane, Melbourne.
What else do I need
to know?
Afternoon tea will be provided.
Bring any interested friends!
Interested?
Want more info? Please RSVP by Tuesday September 20th. Contact Larissa
at YACVic on 9612 8999, or email info@yacvic.org.au . If you want to check
out the discussion paper, you can go to www.youthcentral.vic.gov.au
