Youth LEAD is an award winning national youth environmental leadership and social enterprise training program for 15-25 year olds, developed and run by Oz GREEN. The program involves a three-day residential workshop, follow up youth network meetings and ongoing mentoring and support for youth projects. Outcomes will include practical positive projects that are youth driven solutions to issues of concern to young people and the development of a youth environment network on Sydney North Shore - linked to the National Youth LEAD Network.
Youth LEAD is proudly supported by the Vodafone Australia Foundation as principle sponsor. The Sydney North Shore program is proudly supported by Lane Cove, North Sydney and Willoughby Councils.
Winner of the Social Ventures Australia BIG BOOST! Youth LEAD already involves 150 participants across 5 states implementing over 70 action plans in their own communities and beyond; 95% of participants rate the program as life-changing, excellent, relevant and worthwhile.
